Brethren, As February concludes and March begins we have had an exciting month are looking forward to another month of much activity. Our Stated Meeting attendance saw Brethren who we have not seen recently. I hope to see the trend continue of returning Brethren enjoying the fellowship of the dinner prior to Stated as well as the meeting itself. The Super Bowl Pot Luck was enjoyed by all in attendance. Brother Robert Mason was raised to the sublime Degree of Master Mason and we look forward to his full participation in Lodge activities. It was great to see many who we do not see all that often at the Sweetheart’s Brunch and some photographs of the festivities will be included in next month’s Beehive. Our March Stated Dinner will have entertainment from a trio of performers with an Oldies theme. They will continue the entertainment after the Master Masons retire to the Stated Meeting for the ladies, guests, and non-Master Masons to enjoy while waiting for the meeting to conclude. We are also seeing a strong resurgence in interest in Wisdom Lodge. We are fortunate to have enthusiastic new men who are expressing an interest on joining our Lodge. March will see three of these men initiated. Remember Entered Apprentices and Fellowcraft can attend these initiations. I encourage you, time permitting, to attend these degrees. Observing a degree after having gone through it yourself is a valuable way to absorb more of the lessons of the degree and is of great benefit for those wishing to perform full form proficiency. We also have had numerous requests for applications and expect three new ones will be read at our Stated Meeting. These new applications are bringing a new enthusiasm to us and I encourage our Brethren to be part of this Lodge growth periodFraternally, Mark Berasley |
