Brethren,
September has arrived and soon it will be
autumn, which means many California Masons will make their way to
San Francisco for the Annual Communication. Wisdom Lodge will be
well represented and it is not too late to make plans to be in the
Bay Area for the first weekend in October. Even if you cannot make
it to Grand Lodge, we encourage all Master Masons to make themselves
familiar with the proposed legislation to be voted upon. After all,
this is your fraternity and you should take an interest in its
future. Before we get to San Francisco, we will enjoy our annual Constitution Observance program on September 9. At has become our tradition to pay tribute to the local heroes in our community – those public servants that tirelessly work to protect our freedom and safety on a daily basis. Also, we will continue our recognition of Masonic organizations that make a difference in our communities on September 2. We will have a presentation on the charitable work of the Royal Arch: “The Royal Arch Research Assistance or R.A.R.A is something to get excited about. R.A.R.A. has been the world's leading philanthropy dedicated to helping children with Central Auditory Processing Disorders since 1974. We support the Center for Central Auditory Research at Colorado State University, where continuous efforts are being made to understand and treat individuals with Central Auditory Processing Disorders. A central auditory processing disorder (CAPD) is a condition in which one has difficulty processing or interpreting auditory information. The majority of children and adults that we test at the Center for Central Auditory Research at Colorado State University can hear soft sounds but are unable to understand or process verbal information in an efficient manner. They are confused or become flustered in busy listening environments. Settings such as a classroom environment, the work place, and social gatherings are often very difficult for them. Collaborative work with electrical engineering has afforded exciting opportunities for unique and "cutting edge" technology. Because of the support of the General Grand Chapter of the Royal Arch Masons, International, the R.A.R.A. program has changed the lives of thousands of individuals with this disorder. With the addition of innovative technology and your continued support, we are excited about the potential benefits of this research for many years to come.” Please join us for these wonderful eventsFraternally, Paul D.
